  • Job Summary Help set up, take down, and maintain the first-year physics labs.
  • Assist with demonstrations and participate in outreach activities, especially the Science Fest and State Science Olympiad.
  • May also be called upon to do other tasks in the department including, but not limited to: basic cleaning, dusting, trash removal etc., assist staff with moving furniture and equipment, assist in developing new labs and demos.
  • QualificationsEDUCATIONRequiredCurrently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
  • SKILLSThe ability to work on schedule and attention to detail.
  • Preference may be given to students who have completed P222 and who will be on campus for at least two more years.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
  • Working Conditions / DemandsAbility to work in a lab setting.
  • Work HoursThis position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work Wednesday evenings (typically 4:30 to 8:30 pm) and a minimum of 4 hours during the workday on Friday.
  • Depending on experience and skills additional hours up to 29 hours per week total may be available.
  • Other weekday hours can be arranged to fit your schedule.
