- Summary The Occupational Therapists plans, organizes and implements occupational therapy services in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility and as may be coordinated by the Director of Rehabilitation to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is delivered.
- Participates in conferences, consultations, Facility Care Plan meetings, as needed, and educational programs designed to improve patient/resident care and staff performance as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Instructs patient/resident, family, and/or caregivers in occupational therapy recommendations to be continued upon patient/resident discharge as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Adhering to regulatory guidelines, ensures all occupational therapy documentation/treatment conforms to documentation/billing policies and procedures, and meets requirements for third party payer documentation and reimbursement.
- Participates in routine quality improvement studies and monitors program evaluation indicators as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation.
