- Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, ASPR Tracie, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Veterans Administration (VA) safety codes.
- Associate degree in occupational health, Safety or a related field such as Industrial Safety, Engineering, Biology or Chemistry and two (2) years of experience in a risk management or a safety related field (e.g., loss control, safety and Worker's Compensation case management activities and / or workplace inspections.)
- This position will provide and administer a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) and Fort Bayard Medical Center policies and procedures.
- Through astute leadership and supervision, key responsibilities are enforcement of NFPA codes, OSHA, ASPR Tracie, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Veterans Administration (VA) codes.
- Will be a standing member of the local emergency planning committee (LEPC) and represent the facility in the New Mexico Hospitals Partners in Preparedness coalition to ensure emergency management requirements are met.
