- Incumbents use a gamma scintillation camera, or scanning imaging devices to monitor the characteristics and functions of tissues or organs in which the administered radiopharmaceutical drugs localize.
- Incumbents are also accountable for maintaining quality control for all imaging equipment and radioactivity assaying devices and maintaining their knowledge of the frequent technological and innovative changes in the field of nuclear medicine through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and in-services.
- Prepares patient and performs nuclear medicine procedures.
