- The neonatal respiratory therapists of the Department of Respiratory Care provide 24/7 service to the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The neonatal respiratory therapist has advanced knowledge and skills in all aspects of neonatal respiratory care, as it pertains to the Level III NICU. The neonatal respiratory therapist interfaces with medical staff, nursing staff, and other allied health practitioners, as well as patients, their families and their caregivers.
- Education: Associate degree in respiratory care and a graduate of AMA /CoARC accredited
- program for Respiratory Care.
- Licensure: Holds and maintains an Ohio license to practice respiratory care.
- Certification: CRT /RRT credential by the NBRC. BLS and NRP for health care providers must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
