- The Medical Technologist performs specimen processing, testing, and reporting of test results in compliance with regulatory requirements, policy and procedures, and the TCRHCCs goal of providing quality patient care.
- The position is located in a laboratory that provides sub-specialties of service in a hospital setting; chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, phlebotomy, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy.
- A Bachelors degree in a laboratory, chemical, physical, biological science, Allied Health, Healthcare, or Healthcare Management related field AND shall have completed at least 35 hours of coursework across various subjects related to clinical laboratory sciences such as biological science, microbiology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, mathematics, etc.
- Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Science certification from a nationally recognized certification agency must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire.
- Must have ability to continually cope with high levels of stress, make decisions under high pressure, concentrate, handle high degree of flexibility, handle multiple priorities in stressful situation, demonstrate high degree of patience, adapt to shift work, frequently work alone and occasionally cope with anger/fear/hostility of others in a calm way, and manage altercations.
