- The Medical Physicist, in collaboration with, and under the medical direction of the Radiation Oncologist, engages in treatment planning, research and development, policy drafting, patient and physician liaison, equipment commissioning, training, lecturing, and monitoring health and safety regulations for the facility's radiation therapy services.
- Board certified in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Medical Physics.
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles, Universal Precautions, generally accepted quality control practices for radiation services.
- Ability to perform computer functions associated with radiation therapy equipment.
- Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
