  • Exercise knowledge of CMS guidelines and ability to apply accurately
  • Exercise knowledge of EPIC EMR software
  • Possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
  • Display the ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
  • Posses an adaptible and flexible personality
  • Enjoy working independently in a fast paced enviroment
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines without being micromanaged
  • Posses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analyze issues and generate creative solutions
  • Computer proficient with strong understanding of Microsoft Word applications
  • Able to type 40 words per minute
  • 2+ years experience as a Certified Professional Coder
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Workable knowledge of EMR software, codes and appropraite modifiers
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
