- Education and ExperienceThe knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree along with successful completion of an accredited massage therapy certificate program requiring a minimum 500 hours of instruction plus supervised clinical hours.
- Certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and membership with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) or an equivalent association, is required.
- A current St. Joseph County Health Department Massage Therapist permit is required; maintaining the permit will also be required.
