  • Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist
  • Reports To: Director, Digital Marketing & Social Media
  • Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
  • Responsible for writing and editing Mariners Marketing and Sales materials including emails, web pages and collateral.
  • This position will provide assistance with social media and advertising efforts, as well.
  • Serve as the primary writer and editor for Mariners brand email communication including Mariners Mail, Ticket Guides, Sponsored messages.
  • Develop messaging for targeted communications including Season Ticket Member, Premium Partner, Group and Partnership emails.
  • Compose Marketing and Sales collateral materials including, but not limited to, brochures, postcards and other materials
  • Produce copy for a variety of Mariners web pages
  • Provide assistance with Mariners social media efforts as needed
  • Assist with the development of Advertising concepts including headlines, copy, scripts and treatments
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Strategy teams to develop a variety of materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Director
  • Minimum of two (2) years of copywriting and editing experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Sports experience a plus
  • Advertise Agency experience also a plus
  • Strong writing and editing skills are a must
  • Possess the ability to synthesize dense and/or complicated materials into creative, clear and effective communications to a variety of audiences
  • Proven track record of creativity
  • Receptive to feedback and input from a variety of sources
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to consistently produce error-free work
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadline
  • Work collaboratively with many different people and departments
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, some holidays and event nights.
  • Demonstrates through their actions and interactions with others a commitment to Mariner Purpose, Mission and Values.
