  • Principal Functional Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the PCTE HRSA program to achieve proposed objectives and necessary outcomes which include a creation of a fellowship for training physicians and other healthcare professionals and the integration of topics into the medical student curriculum related to primary care and underserved populations.
  • Requires interaction with students, residents, physicians and other faculty, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
  • Assist with program development and implementation of program designed to train medical students and healthcare professionals in primary care competencies specific to NE Ohio’s rural and underserved communities which include: transforming health systems, population health management, reducing health disparities, and development of collaborative clinical research learning community
  • Serve as principal representative to 12-15 affiliated residency programs and Federally Qualified Heath Centers ( FQHC ) across 3 disciplines (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Behavioral Heath) to enhance their programs with grant objectives of increasing cultural competency within primary care specific to the surrounding underserved communities
  • Supervise research assistant and other support staff (administrative assistant)
  • Act for and make decisions in the program director’s absence within prescribed limits of authority
  • Coordinate evaluation process of the recruitment, education, and retention efforts via web-based survey software and focus group facilitation 2.
  • Responsible for maintaining grant program budget, purchases, tracking expenditures, including oversight of all subcontracts
  • Collaborate with Grants Accounting and other departments to ensure proper grants administration
  • Ensure timely submission of reports as required by the sponsor 3.
  • Ensure project meets regulatory and compliance guidelines as established by the sponsor, associated agencies, and the University
  • Maintain necessary documentation; solicit information and prepare all required reports 4.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Education/Degrees: Master’s degree or equivalent required, in education, public health, or health-related field or relevant education and experience.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in higher education, public health, health education, or comparable experience.
