  • We are searching for an experienced Line Cook to lead the kitchen and operate the back of the house as efficiently as possible with the goal of best helping the restaurant achieve its mission of providing excellent quality food to our customers as quickly as possible.
  • In addition to typical cook responsibilities, the Lead Line Cook is expected to implement: Scheduling: Manage the schedule for the entire back of the house staff Ordering and Inventory: Keep restaurant stocked and manage ordering.
  • Limit waste Menu: Manage main menu, daily, weekly and seasonal specials and features Preparation: Update prep lists and ensure restaurant is prepared daily Cleaning: Update cleaning lists and ensure cleanliness daily The primary responsibility of a Cook is to quickly and efficiently prepare food for the customers using our recipes and meeting our guidelines for food preparation.
  • The Cook position can and often does involve responsibilities in various stations to include Plate, Middle, and Egg Stations.
  • Accurately and efficiently cook eggs, meats, vegetables, soups and other hot and cold food products to include portioning food products prior to cooking.
  • Also perform other duties including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all “finished” plates.
  • Cooks are also responsible for the cleanliness of their work station(s).
  • Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
  • Be able to work in hot environment Understand basic food measurements Must report to work in a neat, clean uniform and present a well-groomed, hygienic appearance Must provide non slip work shoes Work Relationships: The Cook works with all levels of management and staff within the cafe.
  • Additionally, positive professional contact with customers is required to provide an exceptional quest experience.
  • All Employees are expected to report to work five minutes before their shift starts.
  • Occasionally employees will be asked to perform roles outside of those typical to their position.
  • This is the nature of the restaurant business, whether you are a server or a cook, your job is to give the customer the best experience whether the server has to cook the food or the cook has to deliver the food themself.
