- We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented individual to work in a research laboratory environment conducting breast cancer research on both human and mouse tumors.
- Responsibilities to be shared with other lab members include ordering supplies, training new employees, hazardous waste management, working with mouse models of breast cancer, surgical manipulations of rodent models, as well as euthanasia and tissue collection from rodents and other general lab management activities.
- You must be compassionate and willing to work with research animals.
- You will assist principal investigator, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students with ongoing research projects.
- Key Responsibilities: 70% - Mammalian cell culture; RNA and DNA isolation; qRT-PCR, shRNA techniques; protein isolation and immunoprecipitation-western blotting; immunohistochemistry; in situ hybridization; fresh frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue preparation and sectioning; and other histological/molecular/cellular biology techniques required for the research projects.
