- Perform monitoring of inpatients per month, including continuous fetal monitoring, vital signs and assessment every 15 to 60 minutes and labor checks/cervical exams.
- Perform lab draws, venous, arterial and capillary (CBC, blood cultures, PKU, bilirubin dextrose).
- Provide pain management (monitor patient status on continuous laboring epidurals, intravenous narcotics, and emotional support).
- Services shall be provided Monday through Sunday to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- During that six-week rotation, the nurse may be required to work six Saturday shifts, six Sunday shifts or three combined weekend shifts, if needed.
