- The goal of the Community Engagement VISTA project at LA’s BEST is to strengthen community engagement and boost the organization’s capacity to raise awareness and funds to support children living in Los Angeles’ economically distressed neighborhoods.
- The VISTA Community Engagement Fellow will be part of the Development Team, helping to increase, track, and analyze the engagement of LA’s BEST stakeholders, which may include our students, parents, current and former staff, staff, donors, volunteers, elected officials and community members.
- The fellow will outreach and engage with these stakeholders to support the organization's advocacy, communications, and fundraising efforts.
- Member Activity: Gather qualitative and quantitative information from stakeholders to share the impact of LA’s BEST, including interviews, surveys, and/or requests for quote, photos or videos.
- Member Activity: Help build and maintain partnerships to support the work of LA’s BEST, including with other non-profit organizations, institutes of higher education, and public officials.
