- Work is performed under the general supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Manager or Assistant AMS Director with some leeway to exercise independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in the performance of duties.
- Troubleshoots, and maintains all types of HVAC equipment including air conditioners, furnaces, humidifiers, water and air-cooled systems, chillers, and boilers within all County facilities; troubleshoots problems regarding temperature control, humidity control, airflow, etc.
- Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Capital Improvement Manager with priority replacement and budget needs related to HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform mechanical activities including, but not limited to, operating drills, saws and construction hand equipment and using mechanical or skilled trades to make repairs.
- Possession ofUniversal EPA Cchlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification to handle refrigerants upon hire.
