  • Role purposeReporting to the Corporate Director of Employee and Labor Relations, the Human Resources Manager serves as a collaborative business partner to the location's General Manager in the day to day administration of human resources, labor relations, recruiting and compliance administration.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements (including local wage and hour provisions, provisions of the NLRA and other related labor and employment statutes); conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings (grievance, mediation and/or arbitration).
  • Experience as an HR business partner, generalist, or employee relations specialist.
  • Firm understanding of an employee (and employers) rights under the National Labor Relations Act, union organizing and the grievance process.
  • For example: HRCI or SHRM highly desirableComputer proficient including MS Office products, ADP, Ultipro desiredMust be able to pass extensive background checks consistent the revenue contract guidelines for PRTC.Some mobility is required to regularly travel between two Virginia locations and nationally if necessary, up to 25%.
