  • Summary Description of Classification: Under general supervision, performs a variety of responsible and complex technical and administrative duties relating to personnel functions and programs including in the areas of employment recruitment, classification and compensation, testing, hiring, etc.
  • ; provides information and assistance to school district employees regarding human resources/personnel processes, procedures, policies, and activities; performs a variety of tasks requiring specialized knowledge related to the area of assignment.
  • This is a fluid position; duties and responsibilities may change according to department needs.
  • Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Considerable knowledge of BCPS policies, procedures, personnel, operations, employment requirements, course work and training required for classified personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resource data systems.
  • Ability to solve work problems with minimal supervision; ability to objectively analyze and recommend on a variety of personnel actions; ability to learn rapidly and retain information; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in a pleasant, efficient and courteous manner; ability to organize and efficiently maintain files and records; ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Good human relations skills.
  • Education, Training and Experience: Associates Degree required; Bachelors degree preferred Minimum of two (2) years of office experience in Human Resources/Personnel is preferred SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS: 239 days; 8 hours per day Salary Range: $18.20 - $20.51 hourly, Grade 45 (placement on salary schedule based on years of related experience).
  • Up to ten years allowed.
  • The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee's tenure.
  • For external candidates, the top pay is not a potential starting salary.
