  • The Heath Management (HM) Team within the Analytics Capability is looking for an experienced Cyber Security / Information Assurance (CS/IA) engineer.
  • The HM software acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration and recommends maintenance actions.
  • As the system integrator for a new effort, the team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced CS/IA engineer to work with our internal team as well as external suppliers to ensure all stakeholders are meeting customer CS/IA requirements.
  • The CS/IA engineer will be required to assess compliance with CS/IA requirements, work with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues, and communicate status accordingly.
  • The CS/IA engineer will be responsible for certifying compliance for the system as well as serving as the subject matter expert (SME) and lead on other efforts across the organization including requirements definition, issue remediation, as well as supporting Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities for the team.
  • Oversee CS/IA compliance for internal teams and external suppliers
  • Work with internal and external teams to resolve compliance issues
  • Serve as a CS/IA SME for the organization
  • Analyze, implement, and test security controls
  • Evaluate security vulnerability alerts/bulletins
  • Test/apply security patches
  • Analyze Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on Windows-based application software systems

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
  • US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or other relevant technical field.
  • Team members must have either a Security+, a CISSP certification, or equivalent Cyber Security certification (CISSP preferred) with several years of experience in this field.
  • Software engineering or Information Technology (IT) experience, including knowledge of
  • Microsoft operating systems and client-server and web-based architectures, is desirable.
  • The successful candidate will enjoy solving technically challenging problems in a fast-paced workplace, can successfully balance their focus on multiple objectives, and will proactively communicate/collaborate with co-workers and management.
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Experience with either the DIACAP or RMF process is a plus.
  • Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
