  • Job Description Assists in the maintenance, planning and implementation of the department’s programs and services.
  • Organizes, coordinates and implements programs and events to educate, develop and foster public interest, understanding and good will in the community.
  • Job Responsibility Identifies and formulates areas for program development; coordinates and implements programs that will result in close community identification for the System and the Hospitals.
  • Addresses community, civic, business and service organizations; represents the hospital in community activities.
  • Plans and implements programs including, but not limited to: fairs, seminars, training programs, conferences, workshops and public forums.
  • Identifies funding sources, initiates and participates in grant writing and fund raising opportunities.
  • Initiates development of public relations tools to heighten community awareness of the hospitals.
  • Designs, coordinates and implements the Community Wellness program; plans, develops and designs program brochures, newsletters and displays; assists in production of the department’s health information newsletters.
  • Ensures the information provided is current and at the appropriate level.
  • Oversees layout, design and distribution of the final product.
  • Maintains policy and procedures that meet the needs of the system and the department; keeps staff apprised of relevant information.
  • Performs related duties as required.

  • Job Qualification Associate’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
