- The construction of the new clubhouse and golf course in 2018 brought a new vision of excellence.
- Groundsmen, under the supervision of the superintendent, assistant superintendent or foreman, perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; do semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operate small hand-powered equipment; perform work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders and gang mowers and complete small construction projects.
- Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation.
- Operates vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
- Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Golf Course Mechanic or assistant superintendent and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
