  • 3PL General Warehouse Worker Position Description
  • Title: General Warehouse Warehouse Worker Position
  • Days Off: SAT / SUN (Some weekends during our busy season on SAT)
  • Status: Hourly Non-Exempt
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
  • The primary responsibility of the 3PL General Warehouse worker is to perform a variety of duties in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Those duties are needed to support the fulfillment of client services and expectations.
  • The 3PL General Warehouse associate works under immediate supervision, reporting to directly to a Warehouse Supervisor and must work closely with other 3PL and non-3PL personnel as a team.
  • Picking / Packing - Properly pick and pack client merchandise for fulfillment and distribution.
  • Order verification and damage free procedures must be strictly adhered to.
  • Use of RF equipment and a computer may be needed according to departmental procedures.
  • Receiving Product - Properly receive client merchandise into the 3PL warehouse environment.
  • 100% receipt verification and damage free procedures must be strictly adhered to.
  • Use or RF equipment and a computer will be needed and must be preformed according to departmental procedures.
  • Use of material handling equipment is mandatory.
  • Inventory- Properly maintains inventory integrity for all areas of responsibility.
  • Use of forklift equipment may be needed and use of RF equipment and computers is necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of the warehouse WMS systems is needed and mandatory.
  • Returns Processing – Properly handle customer returned items for our client.
  • Extreme regard for customer satisfaction and quality of work is necessary.
  • Heavy use of computer systems may be necessary.
  • Equipment - Upon training and certification: operate materials handling equipment, to include, but not limited to: forklifts, reach lifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Safety - Observe all safety procedures, regulations, rules, and instruction in performance of job duties.
  • Housekeeping – Keep warehouse areas organized, swept, clean and hazard free.
  • Housekeeping a duty and responsibility of all 3PL General Warehouse associates.
  • Policies and Procedures - Must follow 3PL Company policies and procedures on a daily basis.
  • Load and unload product as assigned.
  • Move and manage inventory and supplies as assigned.
  • Clean and sweep offices, bathrooms, and lunchroom areas.
  • Assist any and all warehouse departments with duties as assigned.
  • Perform other warehouse / distribution / fulfillment duties as needed.
  • A minimum of six-months of warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift merchandise of up to 40lbs for extended periods of time.
  • Must adhere to Company attendance standards.
  • Must have basic computer skills or the ability to gain such skills.
  • Must have basic math skills, and be good with numbers.
  • Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently perform the job productively.
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills.
