  • A new OB/GYN practice opening in Richardson, Texas is looking for a full-time Medical Front Office Receptionist with billing experience.
  • Excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person, willing to provide quality patient services and be a part of a team.
  • The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker, friendly, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with patients and staff members, and manage patient flow.
  • Responsible for front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling and answering phones
  • Ensures that patient paperwork is scanned into the EMR on a daily basis
  • Assist with scanning records, referrals, and test results into patient charts
  • Responsible for explaining benefits and copayments
  • Record all payments and prepare daily deposits
  • Assist with claim filing
  • Verify benefits and eligibility
  • Assist with obtaining authorizations as needed for appointments and procedures
  • Work outstanding patient balances
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude under pressure
  • Must be a Team player, able to follow directions and eager to learn
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a physician’s office
  • Knowledge of billing and insurance plans, including Medicare/Medicaid a plus
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel
  • Previous experience working with an EMR, AthenaHealth experience a plus
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) a plus
  • Job Type: Full-time
