The Associated Press seeks a Hyperion Systems Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, this position is ideally based out of our New York, NY headquarters and will work a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in the office.

The Financial, Planning, & Analysis Manager is a key member of the finance and accounting team reporting directly to the VP Finance and has a high level of visibility throughout the organization and leadership team.

The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis supports leadership in near and long term financial planning, reporting and modeling of various initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director Financial Planning and Analysis – ReportingEssential.

3+ years of experience in finance in a technical, analytics-focused role, preferably with experience in both quantitative finance / corporate finance and data analysis. Finance Planning & Analysis ( FP&A ) partners with firm and divisional leadership to understand and manage risks and create solutions through quantitative analysis, projecting and forecasting.

Serves as an internal expert for primary financial data sources/systems used by employees throughout the Foundation, i.e., Atlas, Salesforce, CCH Tagetik, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, and participates in projects to develop and enhance these systems.

Experience and knowledge of creating reports using Power BI, Power Queries, advanced proficiency in Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Experience in analytical roles: such as investment banking, private equity, and/or financial planning & analysis at a high-growth organization or start-up.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret a wide range of financial information;Keen attention to detail and desire to work proactivelyStrong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; Experience with Hyperion Planning/Essbase a plus.

Classification: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. - Execute financial valuation and analysis for mergers and acquisitions. - Prepare data mining tools and financial models for variance analysis.

This person will report to the Vice President of Financial Planning &Analysis in a newly created highly visible role and will work closely with senior leadership including the Global Head of Financial Planning &Analysis and Company Chief Financial Officer on a day-to-day basis.
