- Scott Bridge Company, Inc.'s roots date back to 1933 when Mr. I. J. Scott (Jud) and two partners formed Scott Construction Company in Thomasville, Georgia, constructing many highways, airports, bridges, and dams in the Southeast.
- Currently Mr. I. J. Scott's grandsons, I. J. Scott, III (Ike), President, William Scott, Vice President and David Scott, Board Member, own and continue to further the principles and traditions of their father and grandfather before them.
- This position is accountable for providing field engineering on Heavy Civil Projects for Scott Bridge Company, Inc. The incumbent will typically work closely with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Foreman, Pile Drivers, Welders, Carpenters, Laborers, Helpers and other skilled or semi-skilled craft persons on the work site.
- Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by crafts, i.e., forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers and supports, etc.
- Coordinates surveying activities with the project surveyor to meet the construction requirements.
