  • Scope of Position
  • The Director of Talent Acqisition is reponsible for leading the strategy and vision of the Talent Acquisition function at EDFR North America.
  • Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, lead the direction of the company in managing the full lifecycle recruiting, establishing and maintaining partnerships with external and internal stakeholders, workforce planning, ensuring an excellent candidate and client experience, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, providing training to hiring managers, advancing- the EDF Renewables brand across markets and professional communities.
  • Lead and mentor the recruiting group.
  • 25% - Create and drive an effective talent acquisition strategy.
  • Implementing successful processes and practices to identify high quality, diverse candidate pools in an efficient, cost-effective manner to include establishing and overseeing a pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for vice president or higher level as well as difficult-to-fill positions.
  • 25% - Manage the day-to-day activities of the HR recruiting team.
  • Provide guidance the team on the full recruiting life cycle as well as special projects and strategic direction.
  • Mentor and grow the team members.
  • 15% - Set the social media communication and branding strategy for potential candidates to differentiate EDFR NA and attract the best candidates.
  • Create an excellent candidate experience and build EDFR NA as an employer of choice.
  • 10% - Design, develop, and maintain the recruitment process and ATS. Create and support systems to guide and track the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and update systems accordingly.
  • Responsible for applicant tracking system tools and determining best and full utilization.
  • 10% - Maintain relationships with key recruiting vendors-both contingent and retained agencies.
  • Manage direct placement and temporary placement vendors ensuring compliance with established parameters.
  • Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates.
  • 10% - Develop, analyze and report on recruitment performance metrics and takes action to close gaps.
  • Prepares recruiting and hiring reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Analyze turnover and diversity reports and forecast hiring needs based on previous trends and workforce planning estimates.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned.
  • Supervision of Others: Direct both regular and contract employees.
  • Typically requires a B.S. in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of experience in full lifecycle recruiting or comparable training and work experience.
  • Proven experience in management, staffing or recruiting.
  • Experience leading a team and working with high level executives.
  • Experience managing employer branding initiatives.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for a broad/deep range of positions, including recruiting on a national, multi-location level.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications and the use of email.
  • Must be Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases.
  • Must have the ability to create and implement processes, and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of relevant legal and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a broad spectrum of HR and client teams
  • Normal office duty requirements.
  • 95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.
  • 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
  • Responsible for negotiation of staffing vendor contracts.
  • Manages the maintenance and execution of the Relocation program.
