  • Position Overview Plans, coordinates, supervises all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the organization's software applications development and maintenance functions.
  • Manages multiple development teams supporting different products and lines of businesses.
  • Directs and guides the managers, reviews different project requests, timeline, and complexity.
  • Oversees all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) functions for the enterprise.
  • Develops, distributes, supports, enforces, and integrates best practices and technology standards across the organization.
  • Reports to the Sr. Director Application Development.
  • Job Description Provides leadership to the IT Application Development Department.
  • Application development and maintenance and support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), for enrollment, claims, encounter, and other transaction types.
  • Automation of sFTP data transfer processes Vendor data exchange, extraction and processing.
  • Minimum Qualifications Ability to draw out information and develop in-depth understanding of complex processes.
  • Ability to determine/refine business requirements.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, to meet schedules and deadlines, to work under time pressure, and to pay close attention to detail.
  • Operational and technical experience with application development tools, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Studio, MS-SQL, MS-Office, and other analytical and presentation tools as applicable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead a group of diverse teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of situations, with internal co-workers, other Business Units, and external entities.
  • Ability to understand business needs.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and ability to present results to varied and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to understand MetroPlus' policies and procedures.
  • Project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred., At least Five years' experience in related field/position required
