- HPD is entrusted with fulfilling these objectives through the goals and strategies of Housing Our Neighbors: A Blueprint for Housing and Homelessness, Mayor Adams’ comprehensive housing framework.
- The work involves communicating with HPD’s development staff and project owners, and other stakeholders, regarding requirements and timing, reviewing due diligence documentation and confirming projects are meeting their financial and regulatory obligations.
- The Division is also responsible for processing Section 8 applications in support of conversion projects, monitoring and reporting on the progress of construction, assisting with payment requisitions and guiding owners toward timely completions.
- Your Impact:The Construction Monitoring Unit is responsible for monitoring the construction of HPD funded affordable housing projects to track and report on construction progress, and to identify and troubleshoot significant construction issues that could affect the project or delay construction and recommend solutions.
