- Job Description Reporting to the Associate Dean of Academic and Bar Success, the Director’s primary responsibilities will be to: manage the day-to-day operations of the law school’s Office of Academic and Bar Success; design and implement strategies and programs for students’ academic success in law school and design and implement strategies and programs for graduating students’ success on the bar exam.
- The Director may teach academic success and bar readiness courses depending on the needs of the College of Law. Qualifications JD degree from an ABA accredited law school, required.
- Work closely with the Associate Dean of Academic and Bar Success to redesign, implement, and lead a comprehensive Academic and Bar Success Program to maximize student learning and achievement in law school and on the bar exam with a particular emphasis on programming for first generation law students and other underrepresented student populations to support their retention and academic success and first time bar passage.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Academic and Bar Success to recommend curricular initiatives to the faculty, particularly the application of student learning science and proven teaching methods in the law school environment.
- Collaborate with faculty to identify student challenges related to academic success and performance on the bar exam and assist the faculty in identifying and implementing teaching and assessment methods necessary to increase retention and improve bar passage.
