  • Digital Press Operator/ Graphic Artist
  • Staffworks is currently seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator/ Graphic Artist to fill an opening within a printing company located in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidates should have experience in Graphic Design, be familiar with Mac, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and be eager and motivated to go to work!
  • Requirements of the Digital Press Operator/ Graphic Artist
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Graphic Design or related work experience required
  • Familiarity with Mac, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Preferred technical and/or mechanical experience in the printing field
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to decipher colors
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of professions and personalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to effectively read, write and speak English proficient using standard business systems including Microsoft 365
  • Self-motivated, creative, innovative, persistent, and flexible individuals fit best in this position

  • Responsibilities of the Digital Press Operator/ Graphic Artist
  • Responsible for setting up the press to print jobs correctly and maintain the smooth operation of the press during the run time to ensure quality labels and packaging are produced
  • Collect and verify all materials stated on the job ticket to complete the print run
  • Perform general maintenance to ensure the press is ready to run at optimal speed and performance
  • Adjust settings on computer software for press specifications and quality needs
  • Examine ink colors, repeat lengths and production items to produce accurate product
  • Perform quality checks to ensure color continuity in products, replace ink cans when necessary
  • Ensure smooth operation and timely pace of production to meet deadlines
  • Monday - Thursday
