Full-time
- Perform as a fleet technician which involves all areas of vehicle maintenance that may include any of the following based on the specific job and Dean operation site assigned: diagnosis and repair on school buses, motor coaches, pickup trucks, passenger vans, cars, tractors, and/or forklifts owned by the company.
- Useful understanding of preventative maintenance inspection and repair processes to include but not limited to, diesel and gas engines, air and hydraulic braking systems, suspension systems, drivetrain assemblies, automatic transmissions, differentials, hydraulic lift systems, electrical systems and body assemblies.
- Appropriate housekeeping of maintenance facility to include but not limited to: emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors in work areas including restroom/locker room areas.
- Prepares vehicle maintenance reports and submits to Regional Fleet Manager.
- Must hold or be able to obtain (once hired) current Mechanic Licenses through ASE or the State of Michigan in the following areas: Heavy Duty Brakes, Heavy Duty Suspension and Steering, Heavy Duty Diesel Engines, Heavy Duty Drive Train, Electrical.
