- The Crisis Non-Police Response Clinician responds directly to 911 and other police dispatch calls for individuals believed to be experiencing a non-violent behavioral health crisis in the St. Louis area.
- Without police presence and along with another BHR team member, the C-NPR Clinician will partner with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to provide effective and appropriate crisis intervention services including crisis assessment and referral services, behavioral health education and support, brief solution-focused treatment, de-escalation, mental health first aid, connecting community members with follow-up services, and transport when needed.
- Conduct face-to-face, high quality clinical triage assessments of individuals in crisis.
- Develop an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan to assist the client in establishing necessary mental health services including provisional diagnosis and thorough suicide risk assessment.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of the client and the community as a whole.
