  • Seeking a senior level accounting professional who will be responsible for varied operations and day to day accounting and treasury functions for the family.
  • This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is driven to support the CFO of a privately held and established Single Family Office.
  • Work closely with the CFO and alongside the Tax Manager and Director of Investment Operations to manage the day-to-day workflows/deliverables
  • Closely monitor cash flows and perform treasury functions as needed
  • Oversight of payroll for the Management Company and the Familys personal entities
  • Oversee the books and records for the family office management company, investment partnership, trusts and other family entities
  • Prepare monthly net worth statements, annual budgets and other ad-hoc management reporting
  • Prepare line of credit drawdown and repayment instructions and coordinate with lenders
  • Prepare interest calculations for notes in accordance with the terms of the agreements
  • Oversight of Accounts Receivable and Payable processes (including intercompany charges)
  • Analyze and reconcile monthly bank and brokerage accounts to statements for the Management Company, Family and real estate entities
  • Oversight of capital calls and distributions processes for the investment companies
  • Prepare and review year-end financials and tax workpapers for the tax return preparation process
  • Involve with opening/closing bank/brokerage accounts
  • Lead and manage the implementation of new accounting system and migration project
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team to define proper controls, policies and procedures
  • Provide accounting guidance on complex matters and build a positive and rewarding team culture
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive public/private accounting experience (family office a plus)
  • Experience with partnership accounting and taxation (including trusts, estates and foundations)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable of accounting systems (Asset Vantage, QuickBooks, Quicken and Peachtree)
  • Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Proven self-starter with excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, business maturity and discretion, with significant experience working with senior management on highly confidential and high-profile matters
  • Willingness to address both complex high-level issues as well as routine day to day activities with equal enthusiasm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and unquestionable integrity and ethics
  • The Company is located in mid-town Manhattan and offers excellent benefits including health, dental and 401k plan.
