Control Systems Engineer III opportunity in San Diego, CA Description: <ul><li>Develop and maintain a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including periodic updates.</li><li>Peer-review the design work of colleagues to ensure that project quality objectives are satisfied.</li><li>Direct the design of control systems architectures to satisfy user requirements for communications, integration, data acquisition and redundancy.</li><li>Direct the development of project related drawing and documentation packages such as wiring diagrams, control panels, interconnect diagrams, specifications, and manuals.</li><li>Direct the specification of instruments, valves, and analyzers.</li><li>Configure, program, test, and troubleshoot control systems and networks.</li><li>Direct the configuration, programming, testing and troubleshooting of graphical user interfaces.</li><li>Direct the configuration, programming, testing and troubleshooting of data historians.</li><li>Direct the development of project test protocals including FAT, SAT, and SIT.</li><li>Prepare detailed design specifications</li><li>Direct the configuration, programming, testing and troubleshooting of instruments, valves, and VFDs.</li><li>Lead interactive design reviews with the client and the client's consulting engineers.</li><li>Execute FAT, SAT, and SIT protocols.</li><li>Provide onsite support and service for local clients.</li><li>Prepare recommendations to remediate or update existing control systems to meet client needs (e.g., component obsolescence or additional functionality).</li><li>Identify and vet new and/or unfamiliar technologies, products, and services, that can reduce client costs or add value.</li><li>Provide engineering support for the foreman responsible for system installation and commissioning.</li><li>Provide technical support and training for less- senior colleagues. </li></ul>Skills: plc programming, control system, instrumentation, pharmaceutical, Biotech, Bachelor of Science, Control Logix, automation, Allen-Bradley Additional Skills & Qualifications: <ul><li>An undergraduate technical degree (Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering) from accredited institution.</li><li>A control systems engineering PE license (any state).</li><li>Their clients are primarily in the Pharmaceuticals industry. </li></ul>About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
