- The Communications Coordinator is responsible for working on a wide variety of communication materials and initiatives to advance the visibility of Zoo New England’s Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo through impactful storytelling and clear messaging that supports brand and mission-related objectives.
- Given the variety of writing projects, the Communications Coordinator must be adept at adjusting the tone and voice of writing so that it is most effectively tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- The Communications Coordinator must have previous experience working with media as duties also include assisting in scheduling and coordinating media visits, information gathering and research, and preparing message points when needed.
- Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including press releases and media advisories, brochures, flyers, and the annual report, as well as assisting with website copy and other writing projects as assigned
- Support the Social Media Specialist with customer care and content creation
