  • The Clinical Analyst II applies their experience in delivering clinical care and working knowledge of the electronic medical record (EMR) to the development and maintenance of analytics products supporting enterprise-wide research activities.

  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Responsible for the retrieval, organization, validation, and delivery of data to support Research Study protocols, reviews preparatory to research, and feasibility cohort query.
  • Serve as a system-wide Honest Broker, adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal policy for de-identification and limited data set delivery.
  • Develop subject matter expertise around research operations and regulations and their impact on data delivery methods.
  • Serve as an educational resource on clinical processes for other members of the analytics team
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships with ability to facilitate communication aimed at understanding business needs and translating to technical requirements.
  • Compile results into appropriate reporting format and/or meaningful presentation, presenting results as requested including explanation of statistical test results.
  • Perform EHR Chart Review for discrete field research and data validation.
  • Research data element definitions for the best and most appropriate data extraction sources and methodologies.
  • Independently manage project queue, needs assessment, and development life cycle.
  • Development of visualization and statistical products to provide user-friendly analysis and conclusions (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Minitab, R Studio, etc
  • Interact regularly with leadership and research personnel (including research scientists, certified research coordinators, research assistants, and program managers) to facilitate discussions of protocol specifications.
  • Manage complex datasets by identifying, aggregating, cleaning and validating data from multiple sources in preparation for reporting use.
  • Collaborate with other analytics staff to develop and improve analytic products.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly Intranet Website Software, Business Objects/Web intelligence, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other programs necessary for accurate data analysis
  • Current knowledge of the National Hospital Quality Measures, CMS healthcare penalty programs, and other regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly, coordinate and work effectively with teams, including the ability to tailor messages to individuals and audiences throughout the institution with differing knowledge levels
  • Demonstrates independent decision making and problem-resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives to achieve organizational goals
  • Knowledge of clinical care methods & procedures/processes
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Experience using EPIC
  • Active RN or LPN license
