- Assists the Utilities Engineer with professional and administrative work involved with plan reviews, engineering design, preparing cost estimates, project development for utilities capital improvement projects, construction management, field inspections, and maintenance of a variety of City-wide projects.
- These projects will cover the following areas, but not limited to: water, sanitary, stormwater, and natural gas systems coordination with surveying and CAD operations.
- A bachelors degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental science, or a related field, from an ABET accredited school.
- A combination of knowledge and experience in the areas of Microsoft application software, GIS, GPS, CAD, SCAT regulations, VA Waterworks regulations, VDOT projects, NPDES phase II permit requirements, and VFMA Floodplain management requirements is also preferred.
- Skills: Working experience and an understanding of hydro-logic and hydraulic models and their application in water and sanitary, natural gas, and/or stormwater systems for development projects is required.
