  • Under Armour is looking for a Chief of Staff for the Chief Merchandising Officer’s organization who can navigate our complex, high-growth, matrixed organization.
  • This is a critical role that blends strategic capability and facilitation and influence skills to enable the CMO to work most effectively with his team and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Run CMO meetings effectively (staff meetings and other business meetings) – prepare agendas, recommend participants, and provide visibility to decision and action items to drive accountability and results.
  • Accountable to ensure that the meeting objectives are realistic, preparation is appropriate and CMO and team are well-prepared.
  • Own coordination of projects and commitments involving the CMO and leadership team , including process calendaring, 3-year planning, etc.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of critical path projects – help to align actions and communication to drive completion.
  • Ensure demands on CMO’s schedule are understood and handled appropriately.
  • Facilitate alignment among disparate stakeholders and recommend approaches when a lack of alignment exists.
  • Lead special projects initiated by the CMO, ranging from board presentations, partnering on business strategy development, etc.
  • Scope, plan and execute multiple, often quick-turn projects with minimal outside assistance.
  • Facilitate CMO communication rhythms – create an inventory of communication “events” – including town halls, speeches, board presentations, investor communications, etc.
  • Assist, as appropriate, with outlining, drafting and researching in support of each event.
  • Coordinate with others who may be involved.
  • Proactively identify and elevate important issues to the CMO – recommend approaches to resolve balancing the interests and needs of the team and the business.
  • Facilitate CMO decisions, guidance and feedback needed by the leadership team.
  • Build strong, trusting partnerships with stakeholders to ensure CMO and business success , including leadership team, HR, Finance, Exec Assistant, etc.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate and push-back when needed - at all levels.

  • Prior experience working for a global company with a strong brand and distinct culture

  • Experience working for either a start-up and/or high-growth organization is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience
