- ICF is looking for an Environmental Laboratory Chemist in support of the USEPA Region 9 Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT) contract.
- The team performs analysis on soil, water, air, waste, and tissue samples for chemical contaminants using USEPapproved methods supporting EPA’s mission to protect human health and the environment through programs such as the Drinking Water programs, Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Superfund (CERCLA).
- The Environmental Chemist will apply their knowledge and work experience to primarily support the preparation and analysis of organic chemistry methods with possible cross-training on various inorganic analyses.
- All team activities must comply with EPA methods for various media (air, water, soil, biota) and environmental programs as well as the NELAC standard (2016).
- Job duties include sample preparation in support of and operation of GC-ECD, GC-FID, and GCMS to determine volatile and semivolatile organic compounds, pesticides, Aroclors, and fuel hydrocarbon as well as new and emerging contaminants.
