- Job Description DescriptionFaculty Recruitment in Cellular Bioengineering at Center for Disease Neurogenomics (CDN) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC.We are inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions (Assistant and Associate Professor level) forscientists who are working to develop human cell-based models of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders.
- We seek scientists with expertise in cellular screening and imaging methods, microfluidic technologies to permit engineering of neuralinteractions in a defined circuitry, and/or 3D printing of matrix proteins and cells to establish vasculature within three-dimensional neural organoids.
- The Center for Disease Neurogenomics provides a hub for neurogenomics and disease biology geared towards developing and enhancing precision medicine across neuropsychiatric disorders.
- The Center for Disease Neurogenomics is part of the Mount Sinai Health Care System, which is one of largest hospital systems in the United States, and the Icahn School of Medicine, which houses over 5000 faculty in outstanding departments in psychiatry, neuroscience, genetics, immunology, stem cell biology, and experimental therapeutics.
- In addition to the CDN, faculty recruits will be appointed in the Departments of Psychiatry, Genetics and Genomic Sciences, Cell, Developmental & Regenerative Biology, and Neuroscience, which are among the top 5 ranked departments in the US, based on NIH funding.
