- The Cable Technician must demonstrate their expertise in performing the installation of on-premise network cabling systems.
- Installing, testing, and labeling on-premise cabling, including connections, patch panels, equipment enclosures/cabinets, cable tray, Protective Distribution System (PDS) conduit, and associated hardware.
- Installing and terminating LC, MTRJ, SC, and RJ45 connectors, and testing fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.
- Installing various types of cable trays, Protective Distribution Systems (PDS), and EMT conduit up to 4 inches in diameter.
- Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 1 (INST1), BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC) and BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF) certifications are highly desirable.
