  • We are seeking a Construction Project Manager for overall supervision and management administration of ongoing projects, by establishing project specific objectives.
  • The successful candidate must possess a high level of knowledge of the New York City Construction industry and DOB/DOT requirements for permits, safety, local laws and construction compliance.
  • Responsibilities may include estimating PCOs, permit acquisition, pre-construction submittals, scheduling, staffing and closeouts.
  • Responsibilities: Study and understand the contract documents of assigned project.
  • Identify project challenges and work with the management and field teams to implement creative solutions.
  • Heavy Client interaction, requiring well developed communication, organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Establish working relationships with Staff, Subcontractors, Building Managers, Architects and Engineers.
  • Understanding of the NYC codes dealing with special inspections and safety requirementsCoordination, and oversight of project subcontractors.
  • Preparation of CPM schedules with progress updates as necessary in coordination with the Project Superintendent.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work in accordance with progress schedule.
  • Resolve design and detail issues with owners, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Attend pre-construction and job meetings.
  • Prepare monthly AIA Pay Requests.
  • Review vendor invoices.
  • Assure that details and submittals are received, submitted, corrected, approved and returned to the suppliers and subcontractors to assure delivery of materials and equipment to support progress schedules.
  • Supervise submittal control data.
  • Prepare and transmit appropriate project correspondence.
  • Recognize, estimate and submit timely change proposals for time and cost impacts.
  • Monitor the maintenance of as-builts as required.
  • Detailed daily reports and cost monitoring using Procore.
  • Requirements: BA/BS in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10 Years in construction with 5 Years Relevant Experience in New York City. Proficiency using Microsoft Office ProgramsProficiency in Primavera or Microsoft Project scheduling software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Estimating Software such as PlanSwift is preferred.
