  • Great training (at least here in Wyoming) and a family mentality.
  • Great family/work balance.
  • Cons No base pay, can be a slow start at first, you have to be very organized and self-driven, have to be licensed in life and health to sell insurance (but my management help with the process).
  • Advice to Management Don't loose focus on your clients, while trying to grow.
  • Opening new accounts is wonderful, but not at the loss of your current customers.
  • Balance is possible.
  • Also, reward great customer service along with great sales.
  • Have to be coachable and personable.
  • You get told no so what!

  • There is no base pay so your success depends upon your ability to sell insurance.
  • Cold-calling is apart of the deal.
  • Not a good fit for someone who is not good at meeting and talking to new people.
  • Advice to Management I would consider offering your agents some sort of a base pay structure.
  • Depending upon your location and the economy, success in insurance sales especially supplemental benefits, can be slow at times.
