<p>Job Description</p>
<p>The Automotive Service Technician performs multi-point inspections and repairs on Dealer inventory as well as customer vehicles as needed. The ideal candidate has formal experience in performing diagnostics, multi-point inspections, and repairs on all makes and models of vehicles. Candidates must have a professional set of tools to use on the job, a strong technical performance record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done. He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must be able to deliver quality results. Attention to detail and safety procedures is a MUST.</p>
<p>What You'll Do:</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, and replacing parts and components</li>
<li>Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems</li>
<li>Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards</li>
<li>Performs multi-point inspections and repairs on dealer inventory as directed</li>
<li>Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs</li>
<li>Performs diagnostics on all vehicle systems including electrical, steering/suspension, engine performance, etc as needed</li>
<li>Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt</li>
<li>Keeps shop equipment clean and orderly and assists the Shop Manager with monitoring all machines, tools and equipment for any necessary maintenance</li>
<li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications</li>
<li>Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed</li>
<li>Follows all safety and security procedures</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<p>What We're Looking For:</p>
<ul>
<li>2+ years experience performing automotive mechanical work in a formal shop setting or equivalent formal education in automotive repair preferred</li>
<li>Strong diagnostic skills</li>
<li>Able to work well as part of a team</li>
<li>Industry related certifications are a plus</li>
<li>Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed</li>
<li>High energy level</li>
<li>Ability to stand for long periods of time</li>
<li>Some lifting up to 75lbs</li>
<li>Frequent walking required</li>
<li>Broad scope of knowledge in automotive mechanical/electrical, aftermarket parts, and inventory control</li>
<li>Highly professional and dependable</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li>
<li>Strong attendance record</li>
<li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Commitment to safety management</li>
<li>Valid driver's license</li>
<li>Must have own tools/box</li>
<li>Basic computer and internet skills</li>
<li>Dedication to punctuality and attendance is vital</li>
