- The Dean of Students Office at Cal Poly Pomona is a unit under the Division of Student Affairs that holistically supports student success through intentional programs, initiatives, and collaborative partnerships (engagement), fosters an anti-racist and student-ready culture (equity and access) and creates innovative and integrative co-curricular pathways rooted in career readiness and civic engagement (lifelong learning and advocacy).
- Utilizing a social justice framework, the Office of the Senior Associate Vice President and Dean of Students is a central space for students, parents, staff, and faculty to receive assistance with navigating the complexity of campus life.
- Additionally, the Office of the Senior Associate Vice President and Dean of Students (SAVP/DOS Office) supports the University's mission and values, promotes self-authorship, and facilitates a safe, vibrant, healthy, inclusive and resilient community.
- Master's Degree, preferably in student affairs, higher education administration, college student personnel, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of academic, student life, enrollment management, financial aid, health and safety issues, personal counseling, and accessibility issues at a large, multi-faceted university.
