  • The salary range for this role, based in New York is $ 85,200 to $ 127,800, range will vary if outside of this location.
  • Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidatesexperience, skills against inter nal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
  • The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for assisting on the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical brand plans for Malibu.
  • This role provides significant opportunity for leadership and ownership as the primary responsibilities will consist of general management, support of brand program creation, innovation, execution of key brand initiatives, coordinating / supporting brand content creation, supporting financial accountability and P&L analysis, and regular analysis of business performance.
  • The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing multiple projects in partnership with internal and external cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic Planning: Support Brand lead on planning process to develop breakthrough consumer centric programs.
  • FY24: Brand Channel Unity Week, Distributor presentations, AOP deck delivery
  • Partnering with the agencies and cross functional team to drive the communication strategy and vision media to shelf, for retail programs, and helping to develop platforms/executions that maximize business results.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Lead the analysis and reporting of market and competitor trends to identify salient business issues/opportunities, working with divisional sales/marketing teams as necessary.
  • Performance tracking including weekly & monthly updates including sell-in, sell-out, shopper and marketing highlights.
  • Tracking performance across divisions and states, based on channel and SKU level to inform planning.
  • Research: Collaborate with Insights team on research programs to ensure marketing programs/expenditures meet KPIs. Consistently seek to improve the existing programming.
  • Competitive Analysis and Implications: Assist with the development of the Strategic Brand Review by analyzing category opportunities, identifying key consumer targets, innovation opportunities, and activation strategies.
  • Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Keep a pulse on the state of the business across key performance trackers to provide the team with valuable insights and watchouts to inform execution.
  • Act as day-to-day support to Senior Brand Manager assisting in various brand deliverables: Brand Annual Operating Plan and Consumer Engagement Platform, P&L, A&P spend guidelines & internal engagement plan.
  • Support the development of brands long-term innovation plans with Innovation Hub along with execution (launch, content & budget planning).
  • Support Malibus festival strategy & execution including creative development, on-site footprint, communication with the field, drinks strategy & amplification.
  • Support Malibus commercial execution across On & Off- Premise alongside Channel Marketing team.
  • Support Senior Brand Manager on asset creation with Global Team (Brand Company).
  • Support Senior Brand Manager in the development of national programs/strategies with flexibility and local adaptation in mind; deliver brand digital strategy/media engagement plans.
  • Support the Creative Content Director in coordinating the creation of brand assets for always-on and key campaign periods.
  • Support financial accountability and P&L analysis through management of vendor purchase orders and A&P budget tracking.
  • Support Malibus multi-cultural strategy and execution.
  • Always-on tracking of traditional and digital media strategies / trends, demand territories and occasions, and brand perceptions.
  • Behaviors required to succeed
  • Strong entrepreneurial ability to work around obstacles, results-driven, and a bias for action with a pilot/learn/scale approach.
  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across functions with passion and enthusiasm
  • Results-oriented and ability to operate with agility to run with test and learn approach.
  • Ability to successfully lead a cross-functional team including global brand owners, agencies, field marketing, sales, consumer insights, and Marketing Accelerator.
  • Must be able to both lead and influence teams effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and executive presentation skills.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience; experience in strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand building activities (digital/social and retail).
  • Strong financial / business / analytical acumen.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.
  • Proficiencies in problem solving and the ability to multi-task are requirements.
  • Spirits industry experience preferred.
  • Approximately 25% travel to field locations
