Part-time
  • The Facilities Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a part time Assistant Groundskeeper to join our team.
  • Picking up trash, collecting trash, changing out trash cans/bags and recycling.
  • Perform variety of grounds-keeping duties alone or with a team.
  • Mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, planting using typical lawn care equipment, pulling weeds, and raking.
  • Snow and ice cleanup including shoveling and applying ice melt products.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Required: Possession of a valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment; ability to drive a vehicle and maintain coverage under University liability insurance policy, if required to drive University vehicles.
  • One (1) year previous experience in related field of work.
  • Experience working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
  • Experience working alone with minimal supervision.
