- Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide Assistant General Manager Equipment/Rail Rolling Stock (AGMRE) is a direct report to the GM and has the principal responsibility for leading, managing and coordinating the Contractor's performance for all railroad rolling stock including locomotive, cab cars, trailer cars and a small fleet of MOW support cars – ballast, air dumps, flats.

Duties/Responsibilities: The AGMRE shall work closely and collaboratively with the other Contractor AGM’s in particular the AGM Procurement/Inventory AGM Rail Infrastructure and AGM Information Technology Systems and the managers, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors in developing the annual scope and budget(s) for the maintenance and similarly for the support services.
- Directives for signals, active warning devices, communication systems, wayside train control systems, Level 1 support for control center train control systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Programs, rail equipment maintenance and train control/signal system software and applications, Enterprise Asset Management/Enterprise Resource Management software and applications to Rail Systems and support facilities.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, or related field—or equivalent experience 15 years of broad and deep, progressively responsible Passenger, Commuter Railroad or Class 1 Railroad Commuter Operations with progressively more responsible experience ultimate reaching the Division, or Region Commuter Rail Operations Officer or COO for a commuter railroad or contractor to a commuter railroad.
