- The City of Albuquerque Legal Department is hiring an Assistant City Attorney for its general counsel position for the Department of Health, Housing and Homelessness, which provides counsel on a broad range of legal issues, including contract issues, federal grant compliance, procurement, rulemaking and interpretation, and other duties as assigned.
- This Assistant City Attorney will provide a variety of legal services including contract review and drafting, counsel with regard to federal grant and procurement requirements, legal research, and drafting and interpreting legal requirements and department policies.
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school recognized by the American Bar Association; and
- Must be a licensed attorney at law admitted to practice by the State Bar of New Mexico or be able to attain bar membership within three months
- Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
