- The department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of musculoskeletal or sports physical therapy.
- Primary responsibilities will include course directing and teaching in the musculoskeletal course series and contributing to foundational courses in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curriculum.
- Additional responsibilities of the position include scholarship, student advising, and service on departmental committees.
- The ideal applicant will be a physical therapist eligible for Illinois licensure (required) with an earned DPT plus clinical specialization in Sports or Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and/or PhD/DSc/EdD. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in course directing and teaching orthopaedic coursework in entry-level physical therapy curricula and a scholarly record including peer-reviewed publications and national presentations.
- In this position, the candidate will have primary responsibilities to substantially contribute and lead the musculoskeletal curriculum in our top-ranked DPT teaching program that is innovative, team-based, concept-structured, based on scientific evidence, and emphasizes active student learning.
